Not rinsed perfectly, but I do rinse them with the shower. Leaving them in the bath with the whirlpool cleaner in seems to clean them fairly well. (We hardly ever actually use the whirlpool thing - one day I'll get round to moving things around to put a plain bath where the basin is and a shower cubicle where the bath is.) That they don't get dried probably encourages mould compared with skin, but not having a self renewing surface might be the main difference.
