I bought myself a few books for my birthday (under instructions, and threat of getting a book token if I didn't choose something).
I also bought Eldest, sequel to Eragon, which we bought at the airport to go on holiday, where we also bought The Spook's Curse, sequel to The Spook's Apprentice, which we read at Christmas. Eldest came with a bookmark advertising Ptolemy's Gate, the third of a trilogy, following Golem's Eye, which we also read at Christmas.
All recommended (well, we haven't read Eldest or Ptolemy's Gate yet, so they aren't recommended yet).
