A pedal brushed the ground as I was going round a corner this morning, not very fast. I'm reconsidering the 451 rim idea after all. (Even with the fatter tyres, the 406s lower the bottom bracket a bit.)
I've tried asking on uk.rec.cycling, but I don't suppose anyone here knows of any stockists of 451mm rims?

A bit of measurement later, a 32-451 (20 x 1 3/8) is still smaller than a 37-440 (500A), though slightly larger than a 50-406 (20 x 2.0)
