My prescription has changed, one eye more than the other. That would explain the nagging not exactly a headache I'd been blaming on not shaking off a cold until recently (when I thought "just how long is it since I had an eye test?").
Current glasses have lasted six years, so I've been persuaded it's time for a new frame as well as lenses, so these can become a spare pair. Tempted by the ones with magnetic-clip-on sunglasses.
As a new feature, they (Eyelink, just round the corner) take digital photos of the inside of your eyes to keep on file and compare next time, rather than just pointing a light and peering in though the magnifying thing. Extra cost (work covers the basic test, and a contribution towards glasses/lenses), but they did promise to put a copy of the photos on a disk for me when they have some spare time.
