armbWednesday I noticed the strawberry salesman on High Ditch Road (off Newmarket Road, towards Fen Ditton) for the first time this year, and thought "I really must start cycling the whole way sometimes".
Yesterday, I did. It didn't rain the whole way in, but was windy.
Today, I got soaked cycling the folder back to the Park and Ride, and am convinced I need some alloy rims. The old chromed steel is just too slippery when wet. Asked a few Cambridge bike shops, and they don't do 451 (500A/440 is right out, but 451 will fit). £29.99 here, or $28.95 here. I must find out what shipping from the US would be, and/or whether anyone from work is coming over soon ($34.95 here, not very far from the Boston office).
