Not that it will make any difference to who wins, and I agree with
the_magician's rant that people didn't die for me to vote, but for me to have the right to vote how I want, including not to if I choose.
But some politicians sometimes pay some attention to voting trends as well as caring who won, and poor turnout encourages some politicians to make voting easier, which generally means more open to fraud - see postal voting scandals passim.
