After lunch cycled to the Golden Boar at Freckenham for a drink with friends before they came back for Sunday dinner, with the boys on the U+2. Bright sunshine, though cold, when we left, but started hailing seconds later. Strong headwind across the fields beyween the villages. Vaguely wished I had a faired recumbent (maybe even with electric assist to help with towing), but it would cost more than my car (and wouldn't replace it). In theory I could commute by bike, and we could get rid of the second small car and Alice could use the big car, but I doubt it will happen. The boys were happy with the idea of going to school by bike again (we did it a few times last term, but haven't last half term).

Hate to say it, but I've actually sold my Windcheetah.

I found the Tour Easy was more comfortable, and its riding posiiton suited me better, to the extent that I was hardly using the Windcheetah. Rather than see it gather dust in our garage, I decided to sell it. Ended up going to a local hardcore triker who might wear it out, but will certainly not let it waste away.

Oh well, I probably couldn't have justified buying it even if you had sold it before moving to the US. But it's hard to know what will suit you once you are used to it - I'm fairly convinced my hybrid would be better with a different stem, because after a while my wrists ache in a way they don't on the other bike, but I don't know whether it wants to be longer, shorter, differently angled, or what. Or whether it's just that drop bars suit me better. Gloves help. Different grips might too.
