Sophie Fluffcat went to the vet to have a tooth out today. She wasn't at all happy about the "your cat should be fully starved" bit of the pre-op instructions, and told me so, repeatedly, from 5.30am onwards. Pre-anesthetic blood test showed she might be starting to suffer from renal failure (not a total surprise, she is 14 years old), so as well as an extra £50 for a drip during the tooth extraction they want us to do a urine test (what fun), and we have a brochure advertising food she didn't like when we tried her on it before (Hill's, she didn't like Iams either).
