The Audi is better than it was, though the idle is still wobbly. Vindis offered to fit a new idle stabilization valve and its control unit for £800+ (on top of the £200 for what they did do), but I declined.

Vindis here in Cambridge don't have a very good reputation.

There are quite a few different bits of Vindis. On a couple of occasions, other people have failed to fix my Audi, and Vindis Audi have then fixed it. They aren't cheap, but how many main dealers are? (And the local Subaru dealers, Welch's, were useless (I had a Subaru before the Audi).)
