Pub meet, bike lights

Actually made it to the pub meet for a change, and remembered to take the network cards I'd promised the_magician a while ago. Cycling home afterwards as the light faded was quite pleasant.( bike lights )

Filling my car with petrol this weekend cost £59.90 (Tesco's LRP), so I anticipate more cycling (I did ride in a couple of times last week).
Have put new brakes and cables (including outers) my older drop bar bike, now I just need to put the new bar tape on. ( handlebars )

"Gitmoization"

I don't normally bother commenting on politics, since so many people do it much better than I could. But I'd just like to say "Gitmoization" must be one of the ugliest words I've ever heard.
And that I'm boggled at Bush's attempt to declare himself above the law. Having set the precedent that it's okay to invade countries to throw out dodgily elected dictators even if they don't actually have weapons of mass destruction, it's a shame it's a bit harder to deal with someone who really does.
