Saw two goldfinches cycling home yesterday (they flew along the hedge next to me for a while), and a greenfinch on my way in. I'd seen a goldfinch nearer home on Friday too.
I fitted a new bike chain at the weekend, and found I should have fitted a new cassette, which I now have (yesterday evening). Must keep an eye on the chain wear and change the new chain before it gets so bad. Also fitted a new shorter reach adjustable stem on Friday, which seems to have helped.

I sometimes get pelicans flying along in the same general direction when I'm riding along the river trail. The annoying thing is that they can go faster than me without seeming to put any apparent effort into it.
