Swimming pool
May. 24th, 2004 06:01 pmFirst swims of the season over the weekend, after a bit of fiddling. The pump was blowing the trip for the house on Saturday morning (flip switch, goes out again - turn off breaker for outside power, flip switch, ok - turn off pump, turn on outside power, ok, turn on pump, trip goes). Took it apart and couldn't see anything (junction box wasn't sealed properly, but no sign of corrosion inside), put it back together and its been ok so far, so I'm blaming it on a piece of gravel stalling the pump and falling out without being noticed when taking it apart (I did then vacuum some gravel out of the bottom of the pump filter basket bowl).
Looked at the south-facing side of the shed roof a few times through the day, and while the ends get shaded by trees a littlem, there is over six hours of sunlight on the centre section (even took some digital photos, not uploaded).
