Our big trailer has been stolen. I forgot to refit its lock after collecting a load of wood from my parents' (it was dark when I parked so I left it hitched, and then we were going out in the car the next morning so I drove it round the front in a hurry, and then I forgot about the trailer until today). With the lodgers gone, we haven't been parking round the back, and it could have been taken any time since Wednesday afternoon.
I've just been talking to the police "customer service centre", on the offchance they turn it up somewhere (trailers are not "contents" for the purpose of the house insurance, though lawn mowers, for example, are (but pedal cycles aren't)).
