Much moving of compost and plants-to-become-compost. Sieved mature compost to go on the vegetable growing squares (little raised beds with plastic surrounds 1m²) and weeded one ready to plant broad beans. Cut the last of the courgettes and put that plant on the heap. Cut grass and picked up leaves (leafblower works, but the P40 I mended it with had made a bulge that needed knocking off (it interfered with the fan) and now has a small hole to patch again). Put lots of well rotted leaf mould on beds to try and make room for a bag for new leaves. Cleared growbags out of the greenhouse - tomatoes and peppers have been a bit disappointing this year (and tomatillos which were an experiment were a complete failure).
And we had walnuts last year but this year the squirrels seem to have got them all. Maybe I should pick them early and pickle them.)
