The boys found the heat a bit much - an evening performance would have been cooler, but we were too late deciding to see it on Friday, Alice was expecting to be out on Saturday, there wasn't a Sunday evening show. The programme does explain a bit about the background to the story, but you can ignore it and concentrate on the circus skills if you want - or try and keep track of some of the peripheral stuff going on too. The live background music was a band, not just the accordian player, though he was prominent. We found the rope double act most impressive, but there was lots of good stuff.
