Something recently made me realize that I don't post about a some things because they involve other people, and it feels wrong to involve them in a public (or even semi-public) forum. In extreme cases, like "X needs a reference from X's (current) boss, X's boss doesn't like problems being even mentioned within the organization and would be furious if they were discussed externally", not discussing it seems obvious even if the chances of X's boss searching livejournal for mentions are small, but it applies to smaller things too.
At least one person on my friends list could easily be single from large swathes of their journal, with their partner only getting an occasional mention, so I guess I'm not the only person who feels that way, but I'm curious what other people think.
