That's one of the lines I was mentally shouting at the TV too! I got that it was a cabbie immediately (and many other plot things) way before Sherlock and kept being annoyed at how stupid he was being (along with the rest of them). But it was pretty much bound to be a rubbish programme (beyond the mere updating of Sherlock Holmes issue) once I saw who made it in the title credits.

I wonder what proportion of the viewers did! I do know one person who wasn't thinking/saying that though (and who had trouble following the plot at all - partly due to the poor diction and bad sound quality endemic in the meejah these days).
