Jazz on a summer evening
Jul. 19th, 2004 06:17 pmOn Saturday we all six went to see Amadeus Boldwicket's Red Hot Peppers Jazz Band at Anglesey Abbey. We went through pouring rain on the short drive there, but it was actually quite sunny once we got there - lots of umbrellas for the umbrella parade though. Looked at the herbaceous border and dahlias in the interval. (Dahlia plants still smallish, but some dramatic flowers already.)
Less fun was leaving and finding out that the Audi had lost dipped beam headlights (I suspect the switch unit but don't have a 24mm socket at home to take the steering wheel off to look at it (and that nut is too recessed for a spanner), so we got home with main beam and fog and side lights. (It was still not raining, and only light traffic, or we'd have had to wait for the AA.)
