Earphones

A kitten young cat has just bitten though the cable of the earphones I bought to replace the ones R. left in his pocket when his trousers were washed. (The washing machined ones do still work, but I wasn't sure how long that would continue.)
Any recommendations for cheap durable earphones?

Pesky creature!

I've washed Daffodil Ranger's mobile phone - that was pretty fatal. I checked the hip pockets, but not the one in the knee - stupid place to keep a phone, if you ask me.

My work earphones keep breaking/wearing out - the current ones are mono unless I wiggle the cable just so. I think the answer may just be to keep on buying cheap pairs, but I'd be interested to read any other replies.
