The First Emperor

The family went to see The First Emperor exhibition yesterday (and dim sum at the Golden Dragon in Gerrard Street). Meant missing work Xmas party, but it was worth it.
Pam has seen the terracotta army at its original site, where you get more impact from the scale, but said they didn't get to see as much detail as on the selected pieces in the exhibition.
Photography was banned, and although I had my camera with me I obeyed the rules.

We've had no mains water since this morning (there's a digger and a big hole in the road not far from us), so I went to the supermarket for bottled water. Still, if we had to be prepared for an actual zombie apocalypse, we could avoid that by boiling water from the rainwater butts, on a wood fire if necessary. That should last for the, oh, five minutes, it would take a zombie horde to kick in our doors.
