The ravens
asked:
1.
Total number of films I own on DVD/video:Having looked in the cupboard, between 100 and 200, with both "children's films" and "films taped from TV and not all labelled properly" very heavily represented.
2.
Last film bought:National Treasure3.
Last film that I watched:At the cinema,
Lemony Snicket, I think. On DVD/video, half of
The Empire Strikes Back (the children were watching the whole thing). On DVD/video all the way through, National Treasure, I think. On TV, can't remember.
4.
Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me, in no particular order:Um. Er. Dunno. I'd probably actually be better off with a Netflix type service than buying things, at least things the children aren't going to watch repeatedly.
[Edit: I suppose I better say something.
Lord of the Rings (the whole trilogy). I have the extended DVDs, I've watched them more than once, I expect to watch them again, I've watched at least some of the director's commentary and extras.
Star Wars (just the original). Though I don't think I actually have it on DVD/tape.
Blues Brothers. Great music, great car chases, always worth seeing again.
Hitchhiker's I haven't seen yet, and I'm expecting very much from it, but it could make the list if it matches up to the books/radio.
(Princess Bride I have, and have enjoyed watching at filk conventions, but wouldn't go out of my way to see again. Rock Horror Picture Show I've seen a fair number of times, but not for a while - I couldn't even tell you what's different about the different versions of the end.)
5.
Tag five people:Minstrel, but he's not on livejournal (AFAIK). I'll second the raven's suggestion of
the_magician, and anyone else who wants to and hasn't done it yet.
