Ka passed its MOT yesterday without trouble. Having seen yet another peak oil article, if it lasts as long as might reasonably expected without eating another engine (<70,000 miles, mutter, mutter, grumble), and if we keep it till it dies, the main question for any replacement might be "ethanol or biodiesel".
(Or maybe one of
these with one of
these and one of
these.
A while ago at work someone asked why anyone would bother with an electric assist motor on a bike when you can pedal faster. Well you know the sort of day when you only get the children to go to school by giving them Calpol and feel much the same yourself? And you think about what it would be like with a headwind and driving rain/hail as well? That's why, if it's going to entirely replace a commuting car.)
