Hamster injury
Aug. 11th, 2004 02:01 pmThis morning I found that Rory's hamster had got its foot stuck in the latch we added to the cage when it escaped before, and had broken its leg. The vet said that if it survives the anesthetic and the amputation, she'd heard that hamsters can manage quite happily with three legs. Since he was hamstering about quite actively, dragging the broken leg (with bone sticking out), I thought we had to give him a chance.
So fingers crossed for George the hamster.
