Went to see the film yesterday. We enjoyed it. Apparently C S Lewis didn't think live action talking animals could work, but I think the CGI is closer to the animation he thought was a possibility than to people in costumes (though I actually quite liked the BBC TV version with costumes).
I agree with someone in a friend-locked post that the Witch's dress didn't do her any favours. I suppose being from a reality where you have killed every other living thing followed by a few hundred years of turning anyone who disagrees with you into stone makes getting objective criticism of your dress sense difficult.
