The Observer has a story about Katrina having possibly released armed dolphins, which sounds implausible - even if you did have trained dolphins with dart guns, would you leave them armed when abandoning the place?
The Register notes "We find, however, that Sheridan has made sport of gullible reporters in the past".

Comments about sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads left as an exercise for the reader.
