Dr. Who

I enjoyed it. A bit of a shame there was no regeneration sequence, we'd know whether they count the movie as happening or not. It'll be interesting to see a new Doctor get used to himself though.
Some holes to be picked with continuity with past Auton stories, but what's new? (I'm also assuming the format will be closer to the original now he's been introduced, not settle everything in one episode every week.)

Oh, and I'm not terribly keen on the new Tardis main room, but maybe it will grow on me.

I think single-episode stories are going to be the norm for this incarnation. SFX raves about this being DW with "all the fat trimmed away", as though this were ever a good or desirable thing: we'll see...

Hmm. While "it isn't the same as the Dr Who I remember" doesn't have to be a bad thing, that's not going to leave much scope for any development of non-recurring characters, or gradual unfolding of mysteries.
Oh well, as you say, we'll see.
