Looby Loo enjoyed them, even the spiders, when they visited her class at school. She got to hold a snake.

They brought one spider, a Chilean Rose tarantula. Everyone who wanted to got to hold several snakes (but the albino Burmese python was too large for a single child, it got laid across a row of children). Only the presenter held the scorpion.
