Photo scanning.

Collected a load of stuff from my parents' house. Mostly tools from the garage they are trying to clear out, but also a box of my old photos that had been in their loft.
I think I need to look into a better scanner (the cheap Aldi one I have does have an attachment designed for holding negatives, but I don't expect much from it, and the older Epson one hasn't).
Any recommendations?

[EDIT: There are some slides, some prints with negatives, some prints without negatives, some negatives without prints. I'm fairly sure my father has/had a slide copier somewhere, but almost certainly not one that will fit a modern SLR without an adaptor, and, while I've been tempted to buy a D-SLR for a while, I can't justify one with a full-frame 35mm sensor.]

Can't help with the prints, but I have a USB-attached Nikon Cool Scan IV which does 35mm slides and neg strips which you'd be welcome to borrow? It's just sitting there not doing much as I almost never use wet film these days...

That would be great. Thanks.
