I'm sure I had an entry saying how cool it was that it made it into space, but that post seems to have got lost. And now it seems there were problems, so the prize might not be quite as close at it appeared.
But I do like Rutan's plane designs.

Yep. Rutan's designs make me think it would be nice to have that plane, not just a plane in general. (Not enough to actually spend the time and money you are on learning to fly, but as a general "if I won a rollover lottery jackpot" sort of thing). There are possibly even cooler planes, but not such practical ones (not that I've seen anyway, I'm not an expert).
