Teeth

Went to the dentist yesterday. Immediate term, I have some antibiotics for a periodontal abscess. Slightly longer term, I have a strong recommendation to consider periodontal surgery if I don't want to lose the back lower molars soon, and warnings that it isn't available on the NHS, and isn't cheap :-(

My sympathies, having dropped a fair bit of money at my dentist's recently to get some much-needed work done - as with you, not on the NHS.

Alice's aunt is off to St. Petersburg soon, to have what would be £8,000 of dental work in this country for £1,000 (including flights, staying in a flat belonging to one of her singing pupils).

Hungary appears to be a popular destination for "dental tourism" as well.
