Snow and things.

Very pretty, and the roads weren't even _too_ snarled up. (Not like last year, where I cycled out past many stopped cars, then spent well over an hour queuing from the Newmarket Road Park and Ride to the A14 (which was then nearly empty eastbound), a distance of less than a mile.)
Saturday's work wasn't completely wasted, we've established once we got connectivity to the remote machine back that the bug isn't ours, and got a sort of workaround, which seems to be as much as we can hope for right now.
And I chopped quite a lot of wood (our central heating system still isn't totally right :-( (though it's nice to use the woodburning stove sometimes even when it is)). Tried an electric chainsaw that I bought cheap in Netto as a backup for when the petrol one is in Wales. Quite pleased with it - wouldn't want to cut down a large tree with it, but that's not what I bought it for. Still a large trailer load more to do.
Sunday went orienteering in Thetford forest with older son.
Yesterday morning I spent some time in Plumbing Trade Supplies watching a man repeatedly say "they were here, I know they were here, I saw them", and failing to find the guttering bits they'd phoned me to say were in (we have a strange hexagonal thing out the front of our house, which I am not going to try and describe in more detail except to say it's clunch and the eaves are too small and it's spalling). They later phoned to say they had found them again. Exning Road was fairly clear this morning, so decided I would collect them after all, having initially been put off by the snow. Maybe I'll actually put it up this weekend.
