London-Cambridge cycle ride
Did the London-Cambridge cycle ride.
Stayed the night before at IH's house, saving an early morning drive in. Got to Midsummer Common checkin just in time for the coach, along with a couple of other nCipher people. Most interesting vehicles we saw being unloaded were an Ordinary (penny farthing) and a Sinclair C5. It was raining hard on the way down, but cleared as we started and was mostly quite pleasant, though it was raining gently again near the end. (My Aldi cheap special-of-the-week cycle computer has a max/min thermometer, but I didn't note the results at the finish.)
Route profile (from a co-worker, based on last year)
My right hand little finger went a little bit numb at one point, but the new stem seems to have basically cured the problem.
Averaged a bit over 14mph, which I was quite pleased with considering my lack of training and unusedness to hills, even if there were other nCipher people averaging over 20mph.
