Alice has a new job
I've refrained from posting about the old one, since it would have been a rant, and, while the chances of it getting back to her headmaster were small, since he had a policy that teachers weren't even to admit there might be problems in the staffroom, a public rant wouldn't have gone down well while she still needed a reference.
Tickyboxes would be good too. You are a headmaster who wants an experienced teacher who can get on with stuff without supervision, but your budget only allows for a newly qualified teacher (NQT).
Do you
[ ] get an experienced teacher, and find the money somehow?
[ ] get an NQT, and make time for mentoring/training somehow?
[ ] get aan NQT, and tell her to just get on with it without any mentoring/training/advice/support/backup?
Anyway, she's now got a job starting in September in Mildenhall (as an administrative assistant with a bit of classroom assistant cover, not teaching, but it's possible she'll go back to teaching longer term).
