Friday, weekend.
Rory did his grade 2 piano exam on Friday. In the evening Alice noticed ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
wings_of_wax's laptop wasn't on the desk where she expected it to be, and we spent a while worrying about having been broken into without having noticed, but (eventually, having got a message passed on by the hotel in Cyprus) we found the laptop was in London, and Alice hadn't really seen it on Thursday when she thought she had. Thought about what we could do to improve security anyway, including reviving the idea of getting a bigger dog (we had promised the boys we'd get another dog after Joshua (collie) died, and Emily is also keen on the idea).
Did some gardening, and a bit of bike fettling (including changing the gear change cable layout to Sheldon's crossover method (still not totally happy - bought some new cables (the bike had brake cable outers on the gear cables, which isn't dangerous (unlike the other way around, which is) but doesn't help) and a proper cable cutter at lunchtime today and I'll redo it this evening), and went for a short family bike ride.
The boys spent most of the weekend on the computer playing Shrek 2, which seems to have moments of capturing the film's humour but not a lot to it really, and Zoo Tycoon, which has also got Alice hooked. I must try harder to resist buying film tie-ins, Finding Nemo was rather a disappointment too (the Harry Potter games have more to them though).
